Kids at The Open Church: The Haven
​The Haven is our kids ministry at The Open Church. It is a warm, faith-filled space where children are known, safe, and encouraged to grow. We partner with parents to help kids meet Jesus, love the Bible, and build strong friendships, all in a fun, age-appropriate environment. Every week we focus on worship, Scripture, prayer, and practical discipleship that children can actually live out at home and at school.
The Hive (our littlies)
The Hive is for our youngest children. It is gentle, caring, and playful, with simple Bible stories, songs, and routines that help little hearts feel secure and loved. Our aim is a calm start to faith, where kids learn that church is a safe place and Jesus is kind.
The Hub (ages 5 to 12)
The Hub is for primary school aged kids. It is high-energy, Bible-based, and engaging, with teaching, small groups, games, and moments of ministry that help children understand the gospel and grow in confidence. We want kids to know what they believe, why they believe it, and how to follow Jesus in everyday life.
Safety and care
Your child’s safety matters deeply to us. Our kids team members and volunteers hold current Working With Children Checks, and we run our programs with clear safety processes and accountability. We operate under Safer Churches practices to help create a culture of protection, healthy leadership, and wise care for every child entrusted to us.
