HIS CHURCH IS OPEN

THE OPEN CHURCH

The Open Church Perth Logo

A community of vibrant believers that functions as the church, where we all belong, everyone is a disciple and making disciples, we are always open. Not just a Sunday.

THE OPEN BIBLE

The Open Church Perth Logo

Jesus calls us to a deeper understanding of the Bible, to be people who know the text well and let their life be a reflection of it in all that we do. Lets discover together.

THE OPEN TABLE

The Open Church Perth Logo

A place of meeting with our community to care not just for physical needs, but also spiritual care, while showing genuine Love for our neighbour and the world. We are committed to loving others.

THE OPEN FOUNDATION

The Open Church Perth Logo

Our houses and our church are open, to share a meal, to learn from The Word of God, to be seen, heard, and known, through strengthening relationships. Each member is called to be a part of The Body and reach our community.

OUR HEART

The church was never meant to be an event, it is called to be an active body bringing HOPE to the world.

Have you ever found yourself perplexed by the concept of Church and what it has become? When you read about the first church's unstoppable power, miraculous love, and remarkable sacrifice and it's engagement in the community you can't help but wonder if such a thing is attainable in the modern-day church.

Well, we firmly believe that not only is it possible, but it is also promised and commanded for today's Church.

TIME FOR A CHANGE

For those bold enough, join us as we rediscover the church and be who God called us to be

BELONGING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN FITTING

Every person wants to belong, but not at the expense of being someone they aren't to fit in.

Fitting in is about assessing a situation and becoming who you need to be to be accepted. Belonging, on the other hand, doesn't require us to change who we are; it requires us to be who we are and created to be.

BIBLICAL COMMANDS OVER MANS TRADITIONS

We believe in the authority of God's Word, and we are committed to following Biblical commands and structures over man-made traditions. We recognize the significance of adhering to the teachings and principles that have stood the test of time.

It is time we asked "WHY?" we do what we do....

8 COMMANDS OF
A BIBLICAL CHURCH

Prayer

"They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." Acts 2:42

Discipleship

"Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple. And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple." Luke 14:25-26

Mission with Baptism

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

Teaching

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Leadership

And when they had appointed elders for them in every church, with prayer and fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they had believed. Acts 14:23

Worship

Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:16-17

Communion and Fellowship

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:46-47

Gathering

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25
